I was very self-indulgent today, and bought myself a new iPod Touch. I'm having a fabulous time right now loading it up with music. I am old enough to marvel continually at the strides that technology has made recently -- the thing just blows me away! I guess I'll soon join the ranks of people with buds in their ears.
I had probably the most disappointing New Year's Eve I've ever had last night. I was planning to have a nice, quiet, yummy evening with Glen, and then around 7:00 pm I started to feel really cold and shivery. By about 8:00 pm I was shivering uncontrollably and my temperature was up to 102 degrees. I had to call Glen and tell him not to come over, and then I climbed into bed with my dog, Ruby, took lots of Advil and nodded on and off through some television. The meds did lower my temperature back to normal by morning, and today I just feel a little headachey and tired. Very odd, and no fun at all.
Hi, everyone. I'm new to this group and to Vox. I just tried to do a post and ended up doing a comment instead -- sigh. Blame it on my age. I'm in my 50's, and this "new-fangled" electronic world isn't quite as instinctive to me as it seems to be to younger folk.
Anyway, here are some of my recent Flickr photographs. And here's my Flickr address: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fotofig/
Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
I will be ringing in the New Year with my wonderful boyfriend, which is great. We managed to avoid all invitations this year, and have chosen just to have a nice, quiet time in front of the tellie. I wish that some of my beloved friends and family who have passed away during the last decade could be with me -- specifically my Dad, my dear friend and mentor Bruce, and my sorely missed friends Frances and Fran.
